Introduction
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of University of Tabriz, with a long history (7 decades) in training efficient engineers for industries and with about 50 faculty members and numerous laboratory and workshop facilities, has great potential in carrying out strategic projects from design to construction in the country.
The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tabriz was established in 1337. In 2003 it was divided into three independent faculties: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering. After its establishment, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was recognized as one of the most important faculties of the University of Tabriz. There are currently about 1,800 students studying at the department, of which about 1,200 are undergraduates, 450 are postgraduates, 150 are doctoral students and 6 are postdoctoral students. The number of faculty members of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the university is 47, of which 12 are professors, 20 are associate professors, 12 are assistant professors and 1 is an instructor. The number of faculty members is 37. The school has 45 laboratories and workshops in which educational and research activities are carried out.
